Health & Attendance

The Health Office is open every school day from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45p.m.

Our Licensed School Nurse is Megan Gunvalson and our Health Assistant is Jill Becker.

Mrs. Becker is in the Health Office everyday to meet the health needs of our students.

Please call us at any time with concerns or updates about your student’s health.

Please read  “Is My Child Well Enough To Go To School?” for information about common childhood illnesses and when to keep your students home.

Call the Attendance Line each day that your student will be absent. The number for reporting absences is 651-653-2810. Please include the reason your child is absent when you call (sore throat, fever, vomiting, etc.)

The Medication Authorization form needs to be completed for any medication your child takes at school.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will gladly work with you to help all of our students have a successful year.

Attendance and Vacations:

Having your child at school each and every day is critical to the learning experience.

If your child will miss school, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to report the absence on the attendance line at 651-653-2810 or report online through Synergy ParentVue.  Please note failure to contact the attendance line, report the absence online or not giving a reason results in unexcused absences.

You can also report the absence by email.  Giving details why your child will be absent: Lakeairesattendance@isd624.org

If your child will be absent due to a trip or other family related vacation, please submit the absence through your ParentVue account. Vacations requests should be submitted two weeks prior. Vacations are not excused absences under the state guidelines, but WBL Schools does allow building principals to make special exceptions if attendance is in good standing and there are no school or other attendance related concerns.

Drop Off and Pick Up

All students that arrive at, or after the 7:45 a.m. bell need to have a parent sign them into school in the office.

You cannot drop your child off EARLIER than 7:25 a.m.; there is no supervision until then.

Need to pick up your child early?

Use the email: LakeairesDismissalRequest@isd624.org before 1:00 p.m. the day of the request to let us know in advance.  Early dismissals will not be sent to the office until you arrive to sign them out.  Please be sure you give yourself enough time to sign out and for the child to come down to the office.

All students must be picked up from school by 2:30 p.m.   There is no supervision for students after 2:30 pm.
